Lacy Sleeveless Top

A gift to my very pretty niece (my brother’s daughter) :)…

A very beautiful lacy-looking sleeveless top crocheted sideways with strips of small flowers 🙂 …looks extremely elegant and timeless, can be paired with jeans or skirts.

The pattern is from the Japanese magazine, Let’s Knit Series…

Pretty Flowery Crochet Basket

I was making a drawstring bag.  In the midst of making this bag, I came across this cute little basket 🙂 …I found this really cute and felt this deserves a separate post for its cuteness…I think there may be numerous step by step pattern instructions all through the net, but I thought of giving in between pictures of how I made it so that it will be helpful for those who want to make it at one place itself and they don’t have to go in search of pattern.

Pattern or How I made this basket 🙂 …

First make 5 square motifs of your choice.  I made these popcorn flower granny square.  For pattern, check my post

https://crochetshelters.wordpress.com/2014/07/01/popcorn-flower-granny-squares/

Join the squares to form a strip..

Join the end sides of the strip to form a ring…

basket1b

For base of the basket, as there are five squares I made a granny pentagon (5 sides) instead of granny square…

basket1c

Attach the previously made ring to the base…

Your cute little basket is ready :)…

Cute Rainbow bag/Purse (Crochet)

Beautiful crochet bag that highlights great use of multiple colors with the body in rows of assorted colors and a flower in the center.  It is done with front and back panels featuring rows of lacy stitches of pretty colors joined with shell edging.

I followed a graphical pattern chart (see below) that I found on Google search (think it is from a Japan magazine) for the middle portion of the bag and extended a little bit with few more rows of single crochet to give the bag a rainbow-like appearance.

Popcorn Flower Granny Squares

Traditional granny square with a 3D flower popping up in the middle.  As the square has the final round as any granny square, it can be used in any projects as the traditional granny square.   The beauty of the square lies in the flower popping at the center giving it a three-dimensional look 🙂 …

Popcorn Flower

Here, instead of second round of popcorn stitch I made 3-tr cluster with 2 chain space and instead of 2-dc and a chain, I made 3-dc for the final two rounds.
