Telephone Cover

This is one of my oldest projects which I now use as a cover for my telephone 🙂 …The pattern is from the magazine Magic Crochet issue #78.  The jasmine flowers as a lacy border make it look classy and elegant.

Crocheted Sleeveless V-Neck Pullover Sweater

Much to my son’s delight, I at last finished crocheting a sleeveless V-neck pullover sweater for him 🙂 , but he is a little disappointed too because he can’t start wearing it right now as the weather is hot now 😦 …

It took me too long to crochet this with a 1 mm crochet hook with small and tight stitches…but the final texture looks great and beautiful 🙂 …

Pattern for the front and back body parts 🙂

For the neck and sleeves parts, I did four rows of 4 dc and 2 front post dc to get the ribs effect 🙂 and did a final round of crab stitch/reverse single crochet to get a firm shape and edge :).

Note1:  These are the drawings that I hand drew looking at some printed cards or pictures from the internet and sorted them in my own categories 🙂 ….

Note2:  My son too is interested in arts and crafts…so, for this summer holidays to keep himself occupied, he has created his own blog to display and share some of his creations 🙂

Here’s the link to his blog craftscrazy   🙂

Mini Crochet Doily -3

As my current projects are still in “work in progress” mode, thought of sharing one of my old doilies, which I did while learning crocheting 🙂 …looking at these, I feel contented that I have progressed a lot in crocheting 🙂 …my stitches have become more neat and clean, my projects are getting better and accurate shapes, and I’m able to understand the pattern much more clearly 🙂 …but still have a long way to go…

The pattern is called “A Touch of Irish Doily” by Jacqui Cunningham and it is available for free here in Ravelry or download this pdf document A Touch of the Irish Doily.
